Background

Carnot Refrigeration was established in November 2008 with the goal of addressing our sector’s failure to provide industrial and commercial clients with a thermodynamic option that would diminish environmental impact. Carnot Refrigeration makes a conscious effort to design refrigeration systems and heat pumps that cut down on the use of polluting refrigerants. It has taken the lead in its field by creating high-efficiency refrigeration systems designed by specialized engineers and manufactured in an environmentally controlled plant or at a constraint-free site. Carnot Refrigeration is experienced in meeting the needs of sports facilities (arenas), large and small supermarkets, distribution centres and the agri-food industry.

The “Carnot cycle,” or the thermodynamic cycle at the core of refrigeration, was named after Sadi Carnot, who is often described as the “Father of Thermodynamics.” Carnot Refrigeration has broken new ground in the application of thermodynamic processes in the mould of this 19th century physicist and engineer. That is why Carnot Refrigeration offers a range of refrigeration systems that primarily employ green refrigerants and that use such highly effective natural refrigerants as CO2 and ammonia in place of environmentally unfriendly substances. Carnot Refrigeration is, in fact, the first company to introduce a CO2 refrigeration system to a Quebec supermarket.

Carnot Refrigeration is also proud to draw on the cumulative experience of some 100 Aubin Pélissier employees. This means Carnot Refrigeration is well equipped with the full set of resources needed to meet needs of clients seeking cleaner and greener systems, while saving money through highly efficient processes that consume less energy. Carnot Refrigeration believes in the future of sustainable development.
